Welcome to IAMG 2023

We welcome all of you to the 8^th Annual Conference of the Society for Indian Academy of Medical Genetics in the majestic capital of the country, New Delhi.

The Society for the Indian Academy of Medical Genetics is guided by the principles of “Test, Treat, Teach', within the unravelling mysteries of the DNA double helix.

This is the era of “BIG DATA”. In this conference we explore the depths of human genomics, the art and science of novel gene discovery, unravelling the genome beyond “exome only approach” and providing answers to patients and families with rare, undiagnosed disorders.

We move beyond this space into “Multi Omics”, to understand biological networks and provide insights into disease. This is the era of integration of layers of biological systems, comprehending the complexities of disease biology. We have experts in proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics, who use these approaches to study human disease as well as transition scientific advances to the clinic for diagnosis and therapy. Functional interpretation of novel variants which e abound in India, will also feature in the sessions of this meeting.
